Last weekend we rented a Swiss Chalet up in the mountains and had an amazing time. Like us, none of our friends skies (gasp! goes everyone in Switzerland), so we just hanged out with the kids, ate, drank, read, played board games, walked in the snow, sledged and generally relaxed.
I could’ve gotten used to the 1% life…
A new experience for David: running in the snow
Perfection: cheese fondue lunch
Husband in the hot-tub (yes, there was a hot-tub!)
Reading Patrick O’Brien during kid’s nap
General fun was had
The swap shelf, no Nora Roberts in sight, all very high-brow at the Swiss Chalet

That looks amazing! I’ve only every visited Switzerland in the summer but now – despite my complete lack of interest in snow – I think I need to try a winter visit one day. I think I could learn to love snow if I had a nice cosy chalet to retreat back to!

… and if some of the days are sunny. That’s important!

I have always wanted to go to one of the chalets in Switzerland. I don’t ski either, but that view ohmygod! Glad that you had such a wonderful time!

It was great, a much better experience than we non-skiers expected.

What a gorgeous place! I can’t even imagine how cozy it was to read in such a wonderland. And that cheese fondue lunch looks incredible!

… and one thing I didn’t mention were how comfy the couches were. We even googled the brand, but the prices were waaaay out of our league.

Thinking about it, maybe Chicago wouldn’t have been so bad, as long as we had food. Good excuse to stay a few more days 😛
